We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, email privacy@premiumdomains.ie.

2. The personal data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Enquiry & account data: your name, email address, phone number, company name, CRO number, and the content of any message or enquiry you send us.
  • Transaction data: domains purchased, offered on, or leased, billing details, and records needed to complete and account for a sale. Card payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
  • Eligibility documents: proof of connection to Ireland required by the .ie Registry (e.g. CRO/VAT number, photo ID) when you complete a transaction.
  • Technical & usage data: a first-party attribution cookie (pd_src) recording how you first reached the site, plus standard server logs (IP address, browser type) for security and reliability.
  • Analytics & advertising data (with your consent): pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and whether a visit led to an enquiry or purchase, collected by Google Analytics and by the OpenAI Ads conversion pixel through the cookies listed in section 8.

3. Why we use it & our lawful basis

We only send marketing email if you have actively opted in. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in every marketing email, or by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect emails we send to handle an enquiry or transaction you have started.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers (processors) that help us run the service, each under a data processing agreement:

  • Supabase — secure database hosting of enquiry and account data (hosted in the EU, Ireland region).
  • Loops — transactional and (where you consented) marketing email.
  • Stripe — secure payment processing.
  • Trustap (Trustap Ltd, Ireland) — escrow for brokered domain sales. We share the buyer's and seller's name and email address to open the escrow; the seller registers with Trustap directly to receive their payout, and Trustap's own identity checks and payment processing are governed by its privacy policy.
  • Google — optional sign-in (OAuth), if you choose to use it; and Google Analytics, which measures how the site is used, only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • OpenAI — conversion measurement for advertising we run on OpenAI products. Its pixel records that a visit reached our site and whether it led to an enquiry or purchase, only if you accept advertising cookies.
  • weare.ie / IE Domain Registry (IEDR) — to register or transfer a .ie domain and verify eligibility.
  • Vercel & Cloudflare — website hosting and email routing.
  • Bunny.net (BunnyWay d.o.o., Slovenia) — DNS hosting and content delivery for our domain landing pages.

We may also disclose data where required by law, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

5. International transfers

Enquiry and account data is stored within the EU (Ireland). Some of our processors (such as Loops, Stripe, Google, and OpenAI) may process data in the United States. Where data leaves the EEA, the transfer is protected by an approved safeguard — the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

6. How long we keep it

  • Enquiry / lead data: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted, unless it becomes part of a transaction.
  • Completed transaction records: 6 years, to meet Irish tax and contract-law obligations.
  • Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten"), where applicable;
  • Restrict or object to our processing;
  • Data portability — receive your data in a portable format;
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@premiumdomains.ie. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish supervisory authority, the Data Protection Commission (21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28; dataprotection.ie).

8. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies. Essential cookies are set without asking, because the site cannot work without them. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, and you can remove cookies through your browser settings.

CookieSet byPurposeLasts
pd_srcPremiumDomains.ie (essential)Records how you first reached the site so we know which channels are useful. Contains no cross-site identifier.90 days
pd_consentPremiumDomains.ie (essential)Remembers the cookie choices you made in the banner, so we do not ask again on every visit.6 months
Sign-in sessionPremiumDomains.ie (essential)Keeps you signed in if you create an account.While signed in
_ga, _ga_*Google Analytics (analytics)Tells pages visited in one session apart from another visitor's, so we can see which pages and features are used. IP addresses are truncated by Google before storage.2 years
__obref, __oppref, __oaiq_consentOpenAI Ads (advertising)Links a visit that came from an OpenAI advert to any enquiry or purchase that follows, so we can tell whether the advertising works. __oaiq_consent only records that you declined, so the pixel stays off. A first-party flag (pd_oaiq_conv, browser storage) remembers that your first visit has already been counted, so you are never counted twice.12 months

If you decline analytics and advertising cookies, the site works exactly the same. You can also block Google Analytics in every website with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
